A Toolkit for New School Leaders

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Dr. Kevin Hurley Middle School in Seekonk is recognized as a NELMS Spotlight School. The administration as well as educator leaders have worked hard to transform school culture for teachers and students. Those in attendance will hear about tips and best practices to help new principals and assistant principals thrive in their first few years as school leaders. They will gain knowledge about proven strategies that enhance positive school culture, communication with families, educator evaluation, and distributed and instructional leadership. Walk away with some new ideas from interactive discussions as well as the HMS "Toolkit" to use at your own school. The HMS administration team has received positive feedback out this program, which they have presented at MSAA Summer Institute, and the CPS Showcase of Model School Programs and Promising Practices. This presentation includes all aspects of leadership (Passion, Immersion, Rapport, Analysis, Transformation and Analysis) covered in Lead Like A Pirate.
