Create a Combustible Classroom! Ignite learning by creating the conditions that spark curiosity and engagement.

The session shares practices and strategies to IGNITE the spark of discovery among students and teachers, focusing on digital content creation, makerspaces, greenscreen, passion projects and discovering transformational methods for students to show what they know.

Explore station-rotation implementation, computational thinking, and flexible tech-integration to promote the conditions for combustion, incorporating elements of Blended Learning, Differentiation, and the 4 C’s to share tools for the elementary teacher to personalize instruction and meet the needs of every learner. Discover techniques to mix Innovation and Empathy to transform school and classroom culture to support every student and empower the whole child.

The presentation will review how within the fire-triangle model, the AIR is the space we provide for our students to live and breathe- the environment and culture that supports learning, including flexible seating, blended learning, and personalized learning strategies. The FUEL is the magic blend of curriculum and instruction- the content, tools and connection that feeds learning. The HEAT is the spark, the idea.
