Beyond Proficient: Reflective Practices for Effective Growth

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Our educator evaluation system should be less about checking a box and more about checking ourselves in the mirror. As teachers and leaders, it is essential for us to reflect with clarity in order to continually build our own personal capacities as well as those of others. When we see ourselves clearly, we naturally provide a powerful model for students and staff alike. Attendees will explore strategies, tools and ideas for developing and cultivating a truly reflective practice. We will interactively brainstorm methods for teachers, leaders and students to crystallize their self-reflections. In this round-table format, the presenter will encourage participants to share how they have utilized reflection and feedback to make personal and professional improvements in their role as leaders. Come share your struggles and successes with the current evaluation system as we work to improve education for all students.   Avast, ye: Not for the faint of heart!

TARGET AUDIENCE: Elementary School Educators or Leaders, Middle School Educators or Leaders, High School Educators or Leaders, District Administrators
